About the Event

Research reveals that regular Mindfulness practice retrains and rewires the brain.  AT CRC, we understand that a cancer diagnosis can be stressful and, at times, even overwhelming for cancer patients, survivors, their family members and caregivers.  Mindfulness is awareness of our internal states and surroundings, and Mindfulness can help us avoid negative behaviors or automatic habits and responses by learning to observe our thoughts, emotions, and other present-moment experiences without judging or reacting to them.  A mindfulness practice can help us become aware and acknowledge our thoughts and feelings in a healthy way and can be used as a tool in stress reduction exercises.  Mindfulness is a skill we practice to help rewire and train our brain to respond to situations mindfully (thoughtfully, instead of reactively) and without judgement.

Join us on Tuesdays at 11:00 am in the CRC Living Room at Blanton House, and experience the benefits of regular Mindfulness practice for yourself!
