Through evidence-based music experiences like Music and Movement, Guided Mindfulness with
Music, Receptive Music Listening, Interactive Music-making, and Song-writing, participants may find improvement in the following individual wellness goals:
Physical: Pain relief; Regulate heart or breathing rate; Regain or maintain strength/endurance
Emotional: Decrease anxiety; Support self-expression; Improve mood; Develop adaptive coping skills
Cognitive: Impulse control; Increase coping tools; Regain motor skills; Support feeling of safety when disoriented
Social: Foster connection and belonging; Improve communication skills; Honor culture and identity
Spiritual: Support purpose and meaning; Provide moments of worship/transcendence/interconnectedness; Support
exploration of values, beliefs, and/or spirituality and faith
